Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Should the MiniShowerTM be turned off after each use?

A- Yes! All hand held sprayers, including the Mini-ShowerTM, should be turned off when not in use. Also, beware of any company that says you don’t have to turn off their sprayers. No hand-held sprayer was designed to be left under pressure, even if it has a metal or heavy-duty plastic hose. The internal parts of the sprayer, regardless of cost, could malfunction over time and leak. So, to avoid the possibility of leaks, always, turn off the Mini-Shower valve after each use; it just takes 1 second.

Q – How much water pressure is the Mini-ShowerTM, hose and fittings rated for ?

A- The Mini-ShowerTM hose and fittings have a working pressure of 150psi and a burst rating of 300psi. The sprayer has a pressure rating of 130psi. But, you should always turn off the Mini-Shower valve when not being used.

Q - How much water pressure do most homes have?

A- The average home has between 40 and 80psi.

Q - What if I forget and leave the Mini-Shower on?

A- The Mini-ShowerTM is a quality made sprayer and designed for high-pressure use. The odds of your Mini-Shower leaking are remote. However, it is a mechanical device with internal working parts that could malfunction and cause damage to your home. So, make sure you always remember to turn off your Mini-Shower after each use; it only takes one second to turn off.
Please Note: Freshspray will not be responsible for any water damage caused from the sprayer, hose and fittings if left under continuous pressure. Plus, turning off the Mini-Shower valve and releasing the pressure in the hose will make your sprayer last a lot longer.

Q- My clear hose is turning a milky white color, is this normal?

A – No, your hose should stay clear and supper flexible for many years. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to send you a new hose.

Q – Do I need a flexible water supply line to connect the commode adapter and why?

A - If you have a straight non-bendable toilet water supply line then YES, you need to replace it with a flexible one. The Mini-Shower commode adapter is about 3'' long, so the end of the water supply line needs to drop down to the bottom of it to connect correctly. Flexible supply lines are available at any hardware store for under $10.00.

Q - Why don’t you include the flexible supply line with the Mini-ShowerTM?

A – Not all toilets have the same distance from the wall valve to the bottom of the tank connection. Plus, most toilets today already have a flexible supply line.

Q - After I spray the Mini-Shower a little water drips out the spray holes, is this normal?

A – It’s normal for a little water to drip from the spray holes after each use. About 1 tablespoon of water is trapped inside the spray head after each use. Before hanging the sprayer in the holder, shake the spray head a few times into the commode and the water will come out. All sprayers hold a little water in the spray head after each use.

Q – After I installed the Mini-Shower on my commode the hose would not hang straight like in the picture on your website?

A- The hose will straighten out in about one week once you use the sprayer and water is in the hose.

Q – What is the max water temperature for the Mini-ShowerTM hose?

A – The Mini-Shower hose should not be used with water temperatures higher than 125 degrees Fahrenheit.

Q - Where is the Mini-Shower made?

A- The Mini-Shower is assembled, tested, and package in The USA.

Q- Do you offer Customer Service for installation questions or leaking issues?

A - Yes, we will be happy to assist you with any installation questions or problems by phone 561-214-2278 or via e-mail sales@slatesmart.com

Q- What is the Mini-ShowerTM warrantee and return policy if I don’t like it?

A - We offer a 60-day money back guarantee if you are not happy with your Mini-Shower for any reason (LSH). We offer a 1-year warranty for defects, leaks and part failure.
